Comic Nails #1

Hi there,

I've been inspired this week by comic books. I used to read comic books all the time growing up and I've always loved the artwork. Something about it just makes me feel like a little kid again and believe anythings possible.

So here it is...

What you will need:
  • Base coat & Top coat
  • Base colour (of your choice)
  • Black Striper
  • White Striper
  • Dotting Tool
1. Apply base coat. Once dry, apply your base colour to the full nail. As you can see above, I did four different colours to show some options. There's blue, grey (for a monochrome effect), yellow and red for a classic look.

2. Once your base colour is dry, Outline the entire edge of the nail with a black striper. This may take some time but be patient and take it steady.

3. Now with the white striper, you need to add a highlight to one corner/edge. I chose to add my highlights down in the bottom corner so I added a line following the curve of the nail and finished it with a dot just for extra detail.
Finish with a top coat.

Hope you enjoy recreating these fabulous and easy comic nails and I have more comic themed nails to come.
If you do recreate this look, I'd love to see it so put a photo on Instagram and #libidasnails

Stay Inspired
